River and Earth Adventures will take you rafting on rivers in and around Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Boone, and Asheville, North Carolina. Enjoy the French Broad and Watauga rivers. White water rafting is one of the best adventures out there for you and your family. Our experienced guides will gracefully lead you through some of the best whitewater in the southeast. Bring the whole family on this splashy river adventure. The good food, beautiful scenery, and exciting rapids through mild whitewater will keep everyone entertained. For added adventure, ask about our Be-a-raft-guide-for-a-day Program. A delicious, mostly local, mostly organic lunch is provided!
Join River and Earth Adventures for an underground caving experience you will never forget. Explore this top secret non-commercial cave (no sidewalks or electricity) with gloves, helmets, high power headlamps, and your imagination. Formed in limestone over 550 million years old, exploring this cave is truly a once in a lifetime experience. We guarantee you will see much better formations and have a much more valuable experience than in any commercial cave within hundreds of miles.
Come float at your leisure; River & Earth Adventures will take care of all the logistics! Your vehicle will be waiting for you at the take out, and we'll come pick up the canoe. Allow River and Earth Adventures to provide you with all the equipment including a Mohawk canoe, personal flotation device, paddles, and a small cooler upon request. Bring sunscreen and a lunch, and relax on a wilderness float, surrounded by rocky beaches- perfect spot for a picnic! Two locations serve lunch, or can pack you a picnic in Todd, NC where we begin our adventure: Todd General Store and the Todd Mercantile (call ahead).
